Silent Sunday: Living Our Dream

Today, it was all about embarking on a dream.

We headed out the door late and spent five hours on the road to pick up our first sailboat.  Someday, we would like to move to the Caribbean and live on a larger version.  For now, this is our starter boat.  With Elan we plan to learn everything that we’ll need to know to keep ourselves afloat when we finally make the big move south.  We spent another seven hours bringing her home.  It’s Springtime in the Rockies for sure.  We pulled a sailing iceskate over the mountain passes as we were repeatedly chased and overtaken by what I think was the same storm.  We’d outrun it for a moment, and at the first break we took we’d be overtaken again.

OnWayToElanFinally we are home, but it has kept me from the computer all day.  A welcome break to dream a little with my honey and bring home the new baby.

Welcome home Elan.

That’s it for Silent Sunday.  I need to get some sleep before I bring you another installment of Mycology Monday.

No Guts…No Story
“And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.” ~ Sylvia Plath
