Sustainable Saturday: The Spirit Tree

The Spirit TreeWhen I saw the name of this product, I’m sure like many others, Avatar came to mind.  It’s a concept with deep roots in our subconscious.  The quiet dignity of trees calls to our hearts.  I find myself longing to return to the forest.

This is one way to make that happen.  I can see reforesting our woodlands with these trees.  I fantasize that as a culture we could reconnect with the forest if we saw each tree as an ancestor.

I just got chills.

Short and sweet this Saturday.  We need to go work on in the yard and start getting the boat ready for the water.  I just wanted to spend a moment with you first – remembering that we are all individually like living trees in the forest of humanity.  As much as we revere their peaceful dignity – we should offer the same reverence to each other.

I offer this with reverence and love for you today as I honor my connection to all of you.

My Forest.

Yes. The forest of humanity. Your words about reverence ring so clearly for me. Thank you.

No Guts…No Story
“And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.” ~ Sylvia Plath
